One of these days! Having A Fashionista Crisis!

Today is one of these days that you definitely don't want to mess with me! But don't get me wrong! I'm not in a bad mood I'm just not in the mood!

So I woke up this morning and I immediately felt like I wanted to stay in bed all day but guess what? I have tons of work to do and I run a company so I can't really stay in my bed all day because lots of clients and fashionistas out there depend on my work so I have to put my happy face and get dressed to go to the office!

I'm usually a very positive girl and I'm still super positive but let's be honest even the most positive person in the world " The Buddah" had a bad day at some point. A bad day for me is one of those days where My creativity levels are low, where I don't want to eat anything healthy, where I just want to sleep and I can't concentrate no matter how hard I try! Luckily for me I get creative at some point of the day and I can continue working.

I decided to share this with all of you because we are all humans and I know we all have these kind of days, no matter how successful we are life is full of ups and downs, so here is some of the things you could do to feel better when you are in a bad mood:

At first, try to identify the problem that is bothering you. Most of the time problems that are bothering us are so complex that finding out a crisp reason itself becomes a problem. If this may be the case then, try to dig out the problem. And whatever pieces of the puzzle you get, get them written so that at least your brain is relieved from memorizing them. Now when you have identified sufficient no. of pieces, try to put them in such a way that you can see the full puzzle. Once puzzle is identified start the process of finding the solution. If you can find a quick-fix solution then its very good. But if not, then again adopt the same procedure of finding pieces and integrating them until you reach some satisfactory solution.

Immediately occupy yourself with anything droll and somewhat mechanical, finish off some paper work for example. When you're done, you may find the anger has subsided

DON'T go shopping. When you're angry, you tend to overspend and buy things you wouldn't ordinarily buy. Similarly to drinking as a coping mechanism or over eating, shopping is a temporary escape that can make you feel worse in the long run.

Call someone close - a friends, sister, etc. - anyone whom you trust and can speak with about your problems. Go for a coffee with them, change the scene - jump in a car and go for a nice walk in the park.

Try putting on some music you really enjoy, especially if it's lighthearted. A great piece to cool you off is "You Know My Name (Look Up the Number)" by the Beatles, but of course, you know your own tastes best.

Change the scenery! Go for a drive, take a walk, grab a coffee - anything that will get you out of where you are. This prevents stewing over whatever it is that got you mad in the first place

At some point, consider the other person's point of view, and whether whatever relationship you have with them is worth risking over your anger.

It all depends on your attitude, change your attitude and it changes your day.

Do some kind of exercise for a minute or two. Try jumping-jacks, push ups, or just running around the block. The new adrenaline will boost your mood.

Write down what is bothering you. Once something is on paper, it is usually easier to figure out what to do about the situation. Many times, surprisingly, when you see something on paper it isn't as bad as it seems in your head.

Ask yourself: Are things really that bad? If they are, what can you do to get out of it? Try to figure out whats bothering you and then just figure out what to do about it. Just a solution will make you feel better even if you can't do it right away.

Indulge yourself with some creative work - knitting, painting

Eat a small bar of dark chocolate - don't over-indulge yourself but it is medically proven that a little bit of dark chocolate acts as a natural anti-depressant.

  • Count your blessings. You probably have so many amazing things in life that you can be thankful for.
  • Smile! This can amazingly lift your bad mood pretty quickly. Just put on the positive face and the rest will follow. Think of something special to you, like a loved one or a fun incident - don't compare, just live in that moment instead. Smiling has been scientifically proven to make you feel happier.
  • Take a couple of deep breaths, try to clear your head, and then think of something positive or something you really like (like if your boss yells at you, think about your kids or the golf game this weekend)
  • Take a shower. It can help calm you.
  • If there is anything in particular that is the focal point of your anger, get away from it! You may be surprised how different things are.
  • Think of something funny! It'll make you happy.
  • Listen to some calm music and think about positive things in your life.
  • Take a nap. You might have a good dream that might make you forget about what made you so mad.
