Victoria’s Secret presents a new set of wings to Toni Garrn

19 year-old German model, Toni Garrn, joins the Victoria's Secret Angels.
BY Alicia Waite

Grown women have been known to collapse into tears when presented with them, top models wear them with little else and some pairs have been known to weigh over 30lbs and be plated in 24 carat gold.

We are of course talking about Victoria's Secret Angel wings, which are only presented to the finest female specimens in the world. So Toni Garrn, their newest addition, must be extremely flattered.

The German 19-year-old, who walked in their last show, 'got her wings' yesterday, making her an official spokesperson for America's number one lingerie brand, joining the Angel archives of top models that includes Gisele Bündchen, Heidi Klum and Naomi Campbell to name but a few.

The previously under-the-radar model was discovered when she was just 14 at a street festival in Germany and hit the big time when she walked her debut catwalk show as a worldwide exclusive for Calvin Klein. Campaigns for Calvin Klein Collection, Jill Stuart and Prada, and a string of Vogue covers and top-notch editorials later and she's now the face of Givenchy beauty and a Victoria's Secret Angel.

But what will the appointment mean for Garrn? Well, aside from earning copious amounts of cash, being a Victoria's Secret spokesperson means being ferried all over the world with a genetic dream team of beautiful models, which currently includes Miranda Kerr, Candice Swanepoel and Alessandra Ambrosio, promoting the brand's new products and ventures, which means she might find herself in London this June when they open their first UK store on New Bond Street.

Other than that, it's mostly prancing around in your smalls, going to the gym and appearing on twee holiday-themed videos like this one .

No, your eyes are not deceiving you; we reported last month how French fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier is this year's creative director for Diet Coke, and here are the fruits of his labour.
The ‘Day’ and 'Night' bottles, available from Harvey Nichols from April 16

The enfant terrible of Paris Fashion Week has conceived two bottle designs, named 'Day' and 'Night' - which harbour all the design elements of his famous fragrances. The feminine corsets are there in the 'Night' design, while 'Day' features the Breton stripes Gaultier has spent 35 years making his signature.
British actress Gemma Arterton helped Gaultier unveil the new styles at an event in London last night.

Fashion fans will be able to snap up the stylish beverages from Harvey Nichols stores nationally from April 16, but look out for the chic collector's set - which includes a limited-edition iconic Diet Coke glass featuring a blue and white stripy motif.
A third bottle, entitled 'Tattoo' and inspired by Gaultier's love of body art, will be released later in the year.

Gaultier follows in the footsteps of maverick Karl Lagerfeld, who was Diet Coke's designer-in-residence last year, as well as designers Matthew Williamson, Gianfranco Ferrè, Marni, and Roberto Cavalli.
